About Posterscope

recruitment

Posterscope views training and development as an integral part of its future business planning. We aim to ensure that all categories and levels of staff are given the opportunity to develop to their optimum level. We believe that this will bring benefits, not only to the Company and our customers, but also to each individual, through improved performance.

Therefore, every member of staff has an individual training and development programme and we are confident we have the best trained and highest quality team in the market, whether specialist or media owner. Our reputation for investment in training is well known throughout the business and our people are highly motivated, evidenced by our low staff turnover-at 7% this is the lowest in the advertising business, as confirmed by the IPA.

Each year we recruit a number of graduates who embark on a 2 year training programme. Our approach to recruitment and training means our customers will always have high quality experts at all levels of the business.

Most recently, all of our Graduate in-take have passed the IPA’s Pioneering Foundation Course in Advertising.

Investors in People

What is it?

“It is a national standard that seeks to encourage organisations to train and develop all their people”

An Investor in People:

  • Is committed to training and developing all its employees to help achieve its business objectives.
  • Regularly reviews the training and development needs of all employees.
  • Takes action to train and develop individuals, beginning from when they join and continuing throughout their employment.
  • Assesses its investment in training and development, to ensure success and to seek continuous improvement.
  • Committed to maintaining the best practice in all areas of the business.

In April 1997 Posterscope committed to achieving this standard. We had become market leaders in our sector of the advertising business and we started looking at ways to help us maintain this status. We decided that Investors in People could provide us with much needed, but flexible, framework to use.

We saw that it could help us focus on every aspect of our organisation with a view to building quality into everything that we do, giving us that competitive edge.

In 1998 we achieved recognition for Investors in People and have successfully retained this award in every subsequent revision.
